All grain used in the process of preparing SUPER POWDER is graded to meet No. 2 grain specifications. SUPER POWDER is 100% grain derived product and pathogens such as salmonella are not recognized as a prevalent grain pathogen. Also, during the processing of SUPER POWDER, the product reaches temperatures in excess of 350° Fahrenheit for over three minutes. This is sufficient to kill any pathogens that might be present in the incoming grain. In addition to the processing procedures, periodic salmonella testing is done on composite sample loads of product as extra insurance.
